An e-procurement platform, a simulator for construction equipment, a Cybersecurity software, a hardware for driving simulators, an ecommerce portal for families and a platform that allows you to organize and manage any type of online voting. These are the six business ideas awarded at the Top of Pid 2022, the initiative promoted by Unioncamere e Dintec, with the network of PIDs – Digital Enterprise Points of the Chambers of Commerce, to give visibility to innovative initiatives and projects by digital transition. The awards ceremony took place today, Friday 7 October, as part of Maker Faire, the event dedicated to technological innovation promoted by the Rome Chamber of Commerce.
Top of the Pid 2022
118 applications have been received for the IV edition of the Award Top of the Pid 2022, which are added to the more than 400 of the previous years. This year the Award registers something new: for the first time, in addition to the evaluation by the National Commission, the vote by the public has been added which, by accessing directly from the PID portal and using their SPID credentials, was able indicate the project deemed best and actively contribute to the selection of the winners. And many took part in the vote: over 3.100 indications received between 29 August and 16 September, with a significant preference for project ideas linked to sustainability (805 votes arrived) and ai new business models (601 preferences expressed).
The awarded areas
In particular, the initiatives and projects of individual companies or groups of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises were awarded, identifying "good practices" also with a view to their transferability to other contexts, with reference to the following areas:
1. Sustainability: solutions to encourage, through the use of digital technologies, the transition towards more sustainable production models in terms of environmental and ecological impact.
2. Social: solutions that, through digital technologies, contribute to the inclusiveness and improvement of the life of citizens and/or workers (e.g. solutions for improving health, retraining/updating of workers, gender equality, etc.).
3. Smart and Advanced Manufacturing: innovative solutions in the manufacturing sector that make use of 4.0 technologies.
4. Services and Commerce: innovative digital solutions on the service and trade sector.
5 Tourism: technological solutions to promote awareness, enhancement and economic recovery of the destinations, attractions and tourist experiences present in the territories concerned.
6. New business models 4.0: activities and/or production processes and/or innovative organizational models or re-planning (through the use of digital and 4.0 technologies) of traditional activities, production processes or organizational models.
All central themes to support the digital transition of companies. Starting this year, the PIDs have also made available a new and specific service, the "Check up - IT Security”, to help companies understand the level of information security and better defend themselves against attacks by viruses, maleware and other risks related to cyber security.
