Digital transition: the service that connects businesses and the public administration is underway

The service to simplify the dialogue between companies e Public administration through the National Digital Data Platform (PDND), the tool set up by the government to simplify and speed up access to public information. The assignment was entrusted with the Simplifications decree to the Italian Chamber of Commerce system as part of the National Plan for investments complementary to the Pnrr. The initiative will allow for considerable savings in terms of time and lower costs for acquiring information from the PA.

The service uses an "open algorithm" model (the OPAL Open Algorithms). This will allow the Public Administration, without any movement or duplication of data, to automatically provide "certified answers" to "authorized requests" from companies to access public services and benefits. It can be like this reduce waiting times for the provision of services and the relative charges to be borne by the companies.

For the President of Unioncamere, Andrew Priest: “Administrative simplification and de-bureaucratisation of processes and procedures in relations between the PA and businesses are central challenges for achieving the objectives of the Pnrr and making Italy a more efficient country. Thanks to the innovative use of new technologies”.

“Public administration can become the best ally of the production system to recover competitiveness against other countries. With the recently passed Simplification Decree, the Government acknowledges, once again, the strategic role played by the chamber of commerce system and its national IT system in favor of the revitalization of the economy and businesses”, concluded President Prete.

Therefore, the goal is to simplify the way in which the Public Administration and businesses interact, as the President of InfoCamere underlined, Lorenzo Tagliavanti. The new solution will allow "more easily and with certainty to certify the identity of the company and the possession of most of the requirements required by the Public Administration for access to public services or benefits."

Tagliavanti then underlined how this service will limit the documents, declarations and preliminary investigation activities to a minimum, also going to reduce any errors at the expense of the companies.

To implement the service, an agreement must be signed between the structure of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers responsible for technological innovation and digital transition, the Ministry of Economic Development, Unioncamere and InfoCamere as manager of the service.
