Dieselgate, new investigation into the Volkswagen CEO

In the midst of the emissions war, a new tile arrives for Volkswagen. The German judiciary has announced that it has opened a new investigation into the group's managing director, Matthias Muller. The hypothesis of the investigators is that the manager, together with other people, manipulated the market after the Dieselgate scandal which engulfed the German car manufacturer.

In particular, according to the magistrates of the Stuttgart Public Prosecutor's Office, Mueller "knowingly delayed the release of information", thus altering the financial consequences for Porsche SE, the holding company that controls the world's leading car manufacturer.

Meanwhile, a new torpedo against Fiat Chrysler has arrived from Germany. Handelsblatt writes that, according to the European Commission, Italy would have voluntarily ignored the illegal devices for manipulating emissions in FCA diesel cars.

For this reason, Brussels will launch proceedings against our country tomorrow. The newspaper points out that it was not possible to obtain a comment from either the FCA or the Italian government.
