Diamonds, Banco Bpm suspends dg Faroni and other managers

In relation to the diamond scandal, the Board of Banco Bpm has cautiously suspended the General Manager Maurizio Faroni and two other managers from service, expressing confidence in the work of the judiciary

The Board of Bpm bank announces that it has "acknowledged the contents of the preventive seizure decree notified by the Guardia di Finanza in relation to the each other diamonds, from which it emerges that the investigations underway by the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office concern some managers or former managers of the group, including the General Manager of the Bank, Dr. Maurice Faroni".

Against Faroni, “as well as against Dr. Peter Gaspard (previously Head of Planning and Retail Marketing of the Bank) and of dott. Angelo Lo Giudice (previously Head of Compliance of the Bank) the Board of Directors has ordered the precautionary suspension from service”, continues the Bank.

In reiterating "the precautionary nature of the measure taken - concludes the note - the Bank is fully confident in the work of the Judicial Authority, to protect all the subjects involved".
