“There is no danger to the state accounts” associated with derivatives subscribed in the past. This was specified by the Ministry of the Economy which defines assumptions today's press rumors that spoke of 8 billion at risk. Among other things, the Treasury adds in a note that it "regularly provides the Court of Auditors every six months with all the documentation relating to transactions carried out in derivative financial instruments" and underlines that "the hypothesis that the Republic of Italy used derivatives in the late XNUMXs to create the conditions required for entry into the euro”.
