Derby to Lazio. Rome, goodbye scudetto

Derby to Lazio. Rome, goodbye scudetto

Lazio wins again. After the victory in the Coppa Italia first leg derby which denied the cousins the final against Juventus at the Olimpico, the biancocelesti also repeated themselves in the championship, where they had not won against Roma for five years. Inzaghi's men, who with these three points get even closer to Europe, have chosen the best moment to return to dominating the derby: the triumph seals a season beyond expectations and above all puts Roma in trouble, which in one fell swoop not only does he definitively say goodbye to the Scudetto but now he also sees his increasingly precarious second place, undermined by Napoli.

Spalletti's men seem to have arrived at this last part of the season out of breath, and it is this that is most worrying in terms of second place, which is worth direct qualification for the next group stage of the Champions League: today's match showed a Roma in pieces physically and mentally, dominated far and wide by Lazio (3-1 the final result) and temporarily put back into the game only by a gross error by the referee Orsato, who literally gave away a penalty on the 1-0 score on a non-contact against Strootman.

Lazio therefore plays a great game, even if they are orphaned by Immobile and in the first half by Felipe Anderson: the Brazilian takes over in the second half anyway and makes an important contribution to the cause. The goals were signed by an excellent Keita, who scored twice, De Rossi from a penalty (given away, as mentioned) and Basta for the momentary 2-1, at the start of the second half.
