Default Argentina, is a clash: "U.S. imperialist judge"

Argentina accuses US judge Thomas Griesa of an "imperialist" approach due to his comments on the Latin American country's debt restructuring plan. The head of the Buenos Aires cabinet, Jorge Capitanich, called Griesa's words "unfortunate, incorrect and even, I might say, imperialist expressions".

The district judge said the bill announced by President Christina Kirchner would violate a ruling that required Argentina to favor repayments to creditors who did not agree to bond restructurings after the 2002 default.
