The "case" of the rapporteur of the economics and finance document was resolved in the European Affairs Committee of the Chamber. The finger had been pointed at Marco Milanese, former political adviser to Giulio Tremonti, who had been entrusted with the task of rapporteur. But the clear opposition of the Pd was immediately triggered, which had judged that position "inappropriate".
The president of the commission, Mario Pescante, had explained the choice: "I thought of him because he is among the deputies who attend the proceedings most assiduously and because he has already been the rapporteur on economic measures with excellent results", but then he had taken a step backwards. “Milanese also in the past has played the role of speaker twice and no one had raised any problems. So I hope that he will make the gesture of relinquishing the delegation of rapporteur. They are also asking for it from the party ”.
And finally came the decision: Marco Milanese has resigned as rapporteur on the Def. The role of rapporteur was assumed by the president Mario Pescante who took over the delegation and now illustrates the economic-financial document.
