Liberalization decree: ok from the commissions, the final word for the Chamber

Another step towards the green light al liberalization decree. This morning the text received the ok from the Finance and Productive Activities committees of the Chamber, who gave the mandate to the rapporteurs to report to the Chamber. The measure was approved without modifications compared to the text arrived from the Senate. The decree will arrive in the Montecitorio hall for the general discussion next Monday and should conclude its work by Thursday 22 March at the latest. The decree expires on March 24 and it is almost certain that the government will raise the question of trust for a quick definitive go-ahead.

The deputies are on their way to converting the decree into law without introducing amendments that would require a third reading by the Senate close to the forfeiture. Yesterday the Prime Minister, Mario Monti, intervened in the commission assuring the willingness of the government to modify with "future legislative interventions" "provisions that should become inadequate".
