Aid Decree, the Chamber approves it but without the M5S votes. Draghi goes up to the Quirinale

The text was approved even without the votes of the M5S. Now the decree passes to the Senate where we vote on Thursday. Social pact, crucial meeting with the trade unions

Aid Decree, the Chamber approves it but without the M5S votes. Draghi goes up to the Quirinale

The Chamber gave the green light to the Aid decree with 266 votes in favor and 47 against. But the news is the absence of the M5S at the time of the vote despite last Thursday they had voted the trust placed by the government on the text. The decision of Giuseppe Conte and his family is destined to make noise within the government, where tensions continue to skyrocket. So much so that Forza Italia leader Silvio Berlusconi has already asked for "a verification of the majority" to understand "which forces intend to support the government, not on and off and for electoral gains".

Just enough and at the end of a difficult day Mario Draghi, after taking stock at Palazzo Chigi with several ministers on the most urgent measures, goes up to the Quirinal for a confidential meeting that was not on the agenda. It's not a step backwards, it's not a resignation and the note from Palazzo Chigi, which arrives an hour later, ensures that "the recent meetings in Africa of the head of state" were discussed and the international political situation was reviewed national and economic". Yet the political tension is very high and Draghi's visit to Mattarella was interpreted by the leaders of the political forces as a signal that this time the tension in the majority has reached its maximum.

Now the ball passes to Senate where the text with the additional measures dictated by the Ukrainian crisis, and estimated overall at around 26 billion, must be converted into law by Saturday 16 July. The decree law provides for interventions in the field of energy, business productivity, investment attraction and social support.

“We will not participate in the final vote”. And so it was. The group leader Davide Crippa explains the reasons for the pentastellati: “Sul Super bonus we expected more,” he said, adding that it is “inexplicable to include the Rome incinerator” in the measure. Not to mention the close on CBI. "A text" that has been "armored" and therefore not discussed enough with the forces of the majority. But there is a voice outside the choir of the grillini, that of the deputy Francesco Berti who instead expressed himself in favour.

Dl Aid arrives in the Senate

The warmer front opens on dl Aiuti. It will all depend on Thursday 14 July, when the Senate will be called to vote on the provision for final approval. This time, however, unlike what happens in Montecitorio, the vote cannot be separated: it will be necessary to say yes or no to the trust and, therefore, to the decree which contains the debated rule which paves the way for the waste-to-energy plant in the capital, considered a "forcing" by the Movement.

But this time it would no longer be a question of keeping the point, just to make noise. It will be a new test for the government, in which a possible absence of the pentastellati could question the hold of the majority. Although the most probable thing is that all the munda ends in nothing.

Meanwhile, Draghi is preparing the expected meeting with the unions, scheduled for Tuesday 12 July, where we could talk about renewal of contracts, tax wedge cut e minimum wage. Other hot topics that could also offer important support to Conte.
