Championship you go, increase that you find yourself. There are still two games left until the end of the 2023/2024 Serie A championship, but Dazn has already announced the arrival of new increases for those who want to watch championship matches next season, but also those of the Europa League and Conference League. However, the increases will not concern all types of subscriptions, but only Standard ones (if subscribed through other platforms) and Plus ones.
Here is how much the increases amount to, who they concern and what the new prices are from August 2024.
Dazn Standard: here is the price from 24 August 2024
Let's start with the plan Dazn Standard, i.e. the one that allows you to watch different events on two registered devices at the same time, as long as they are connected to the same network (you have to be in the same house, so to speak). Well, anyone who decides to subscribe to the annual subscription to the standard plan in a single solution with advance payment will have to shell out 359 euros, equal to 29,92 euros per month. However, there is one condition: the subscription must be subscribed directly via the Dazn platform. Those who will instead use third-party stores such as Apple Store or Google Pay, will have to pay 40 euros more per year, therefore 399 euros per year.
Finally, there are also a third and fourth option: paying a monthly subscription bound for 12 months at the cost of 34,99 per month, or a monthly plan with no constraints (which can therefore be canceled at any time) at 40,99 euros per month.
Dazn Plus: increase of 60 euros, here are the new prices
The Dazn Plus it is what allows you to watch two events simultaneously on two different devices even if in two different places. Well, those who choose this type of subscription with advance payment in a single solution will have to shell out 599 euro a year, 60 more than expected now (150 more than in August 2023). If you choose the monthly payment, instead, the price will be 59,99 euros per month (69,99 with payment in the Google Pay or Apple Pay app).
Dazn Start: 8,99 per month but no men's Serie A
For sportspeople who aren't interested in men's football, it's there Dazn Start, which until May 26th can be subscribed to at the price of 8,99 euros per month for 12 months without constraints which will become 11,99 euros per month once the offer expires. The package includes all Italian basketball and the best of European basketball, the NFL, great boxing, UFC, the best of international fighting and women's football.
The increases started in January 2024
These figures will not return to many subscribers who had signed up for one of the three Dazn plans in 2023. The reason is soon to be said. Dazn had already established increases in January 2024. What will be triggered in August will therefore be the increase in the increase. In particular: from 1 January this year, the annual deferral of Start Plan month by month from 9.99 euros it rose to 11.99, the annual lump sum from 89.99 to 99 euros and the simple monthly from 13.99 to 14.99 euros.
The cost of Standard plan it had instead risen from 299 euros to 359 euros for the single payment and from 30,99 euros to 34,99 euros for the monthly one. Finally, the cost of Monthly Plus plan simple had gone from 55,99 euros to 59,99, that of Annual plus from 449 to 539 euros.
Dazn also increases the offer
To partially console subscribers, it must be said that costs are increasing, but the offer is also increasing. Dazn will in fact offer the best of the top competitions volleyball international men's and women's games including those of the two Italian national teams. Finally, starting from July 17th, the best of the best will also be available on the platform Paris 2024 Olympics with 6 new dedicated channels that will be added to Eurosport 1 and 2 for a total of 700 hours of live broadcast.
