US data: unemployment benefits rise by 2, building permits soar

Initial claims for US unemployment benefits increased by 2 last week to 366. Analysts' estimates were for an increase to 365 thousand units (+4 thousand compared to 361 thousand last week, figure revised upwards to 364 thousand units). The moving average of the last four weeks, more reliable because less volatile, fell by 5.500 units to 363.750 units. It is the lowest level since the last week of March.

On the other hand, the construction of new homes was worse than expected, which in July recorded a drop of 1,1% to 746 thousand units, against expectations for a drop of 0,5%. Conversely, building permits soared 6,8% to their highest level in four years.

After the release of US macro data, Piazza Affari slows down slightly before going up again by 1,26%. There are few moves even if positive just above parity Francoforete +0,25%, Paris +0,05% while London loses 0,15%.
