“Razza Pizza Artigianale” has been awarded the Pastificio Di Martino Award: 50 Top Pizza is now looking at the best pizzerias in South America, awaiting the proclamation of the best Italian pizza to be held in Naples on 23 July.

Dan Richer of the pizzeria “Razza Artisan Pizza”, from Jersey City (New Jersey), was awarded as the best pizza maker in America. His consecration took place at the James Beard House, headquarters of the prestigious James Beard Foundation, in New York where Richer received the Pastificio di Martino award for the 100 best pizzerias in North America. He finished in second place “Pizzeria Bianco”, from Phoenix (Arizona), and climbed to the third step of the podium Roberta's of New York (NYC). Four clubs in the Big Apple ranked in the top ten. In 12th position the first of the twelve Canadian pizzerias in the ranking: “The Good Son”of Toronto (Ontario). Overall, a careful and scrupulous mapping of the entire North American continent, thanks primarily to the work carried out by the panel coordinated by Mitchell Davis, Chief Strategy Officer of the James Beard Foundation.

Brazil deserves a separate discussion, a country that has adopted pizza as a popular national food. Six establishments in São Paulo (the city with the largest number of pizzerias in the world) and four in Rio De Janeiro, all candidates for the D'Amico award for the best pizzeria in Brazil.

To discover the winning pizzerias of all the international awards (Asia, Oceania, Africa, Japan, South America, Brazil and the best Neapolitan pizza in the world) the appointment, the last one of the 50 Top Pizza year, is on Tuesday July 23, 2019 within the historic and atmospheric Mercadante Theater of Naples. The expected final act which will also see the announcement of the coveted special prizes and, of course, the announcement of the best 50 pizzerias in Italy.
