D'Amico sells two vessels for $12,2 million each

The Italian shipping company has announced the sale of two medium-range vessels for $12,2 million each – the divestments will generate a capital gain of $10,2 million in the second quarter.

D'Amico Tankes Limited, a subsidiary of D'Amico International Shipping, model company of Made in Italy, announced that it has reached an agreement for the sale of the double hull MR vessels M/N High Spirit and High Challenge for a consideration of 12,2 million dollars each. As a deposit, buyers are required to pay 10% of the agreed amount into a joint account.

In the note released by the navigation company, it is specified that these divestitures will take place in the second quarter of the current year a capital gain of around 10,2 million dollars. The managing director of D'Amico International Shipping Marco Fiori is satisfied, according to which the sale of the two ships is part of the company's strategy for the "renewal of the fleet".

Meanwhile in the morning, on the wings of the news, D'Amico shares gained 3,59% to 0,534 euros per share.
