Daimler closed the 2019 financial year with a preliminary group EBIT of 5,6 billion euros, halved from 11,1 billion in 2018.

The German group issues a warning on the results of its main unit, Mercedes, specifying that the additional costs envisaged for judicial proceedings and measures, which on the basis of a preliminary assessment amount to 1,1-1,5 billion following the Dieselgate, they will have a negative impact on Mercedes-Benz Cars and Mercedes-Benz Vans. And the title on the stock exchange loses the 1,28%.

The automaker said it expects the return on sales of Mercedes-Benz Cars will collapse to 4% in 2019, compared to 7,8% in 2018, while it will drop to -15,9% by +2,3% in its unit of vans and 6,1% from 7,2% in the unit lorry.

Ferrari on the other hand, for the second consecutive year, it is confirmed as the strongest brand in the world for Brand Finance, the independent company in the economic evaluation of brands. With a Brand Strength Index of 94,1 out of 100 Ferraris it ranks at the top of only 12 brands that have received the highest AAA+ rating.

The Brand Finance Global 500 2020 report, presented during the World Economic Forum, also calculates the value of the Ferrari brand at $9,1 billion, up 9% thanks to the positive sales performance and the overall strength of the brand.

The title earns the1,16%.
