"By the end of the year we will most likely have the first two ratings of Italian corporates, two groups of financial services". This was said today by Ulrich Bierbaum, general manager of the European division of the Chinese rating agency Dagong, after 13 years at Standard & Poor's.
"Considering that we received the authorization from ESMA less than a year ago and that last September we defined the evaluation criteria - he added -, it is an excellent result".
By the end of the year, the staff of Dagong in Italy will also increase. The recruitment of two more analysts is envisaged, which will thus rise to a total of eight, while the total staff will increase from 14 to 20 units.
