From Hera 100 thousand euros for digital technology in schools

The Bolognese multiutility Hera, listed on Piazza Affari, has launched a new edition of the "Digi e Lode" initiative, aimed at supporting the digitization of Italian schools. As part of this project, the group announces that 20 institutes in Emilia Romagna have been selected to receive 50 euros, out of the total of 100 planned for this year.

Furthermore, for the 2019/2020 edition, Hera has also extended the project to the schools of the Marche and Abruzzo, with an additional investment of 25 thousand euros. In all territories, another ranking will be published at the end of the second quarter.

In the ranking of the first quarter, among the schools of the largest municipalities in Emilia Romagna there are two in Ferrara, two in Imola, two in Modena, two in Ravenna, two in Faenza, two in Bologna, two in Cesena and one in Forli.

As for the municipalities under 50 thousand inhabitants, the five schools that won are located in Mordano (BO), Castelfranco Emilia (MO), Marano sul Panaro (MO), Vignola (MO) and Massa Lombarda (RA).

Each institution will receive 2.500 euros to support school digitization projects. In the last edition, the prizes were used above all for the purchase of touchscreen monitors, multimedia interactive whiteboards, video projectors, notebooks, tablets, electronic microscopes, training courses on three-dimensional design, PCs, webcams, 3D and laser printers.

The "Digi e Lode" project provides that every time a customer activates one or more digital services, made available free of charge by the multi-utility, he donates points to the schools in his municipality. If customers then select a particular school on the dedicated website, the points are multiplied by 5 times.

In the first quarter of Digi e Lode, almost 185.000 digital services were activated by Hera customers. In particular, there were almost 30.000 requests for the sending of electronic bills and over 37.400 registrations for Online Services. The app dedicated to separate waste collection, the Rifiutologo, was downloaded 64.400 times and the My Hera app was downloaded almost 53.800 times.
