Accumulation of pensions, the tug of war between INPS and professional funds is unlocked. An initial agreement was reached betweenpublic social security institution, Inarcassa and Enpam. The INPS has announced that it has reached agreement on a new text of the convention, which has already been signed by the three entities. Even the Adepp - the association to which the pension funds of professionals belong - voted in favor of the agreement which can now be extended in cascade to the other interested entities.
“In line with the text proposed last week to the INPS coffers – the press release specifies – the expenses incurred for the administrative-accounting procedures necessary for the provision of services will be divided on the basis of the portion of the pension paid by each institution. In particular, the text assigns to a commission of experts, jointly designated by the parties and integrated with a member indicated by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies and one indicated by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the determination of the amount to be distributed, without prejudice to the immediate analytical reimbursement of the bank commissions incurred. The INPS expects that in the next few hours subscriptions can also be received from the other Professional Funds ".
The new convention text allows immediately to unblock the processing of the applications already received in order to proceed with the payments of cumulative pensions, while the parties will be able to solve the problem of sharing the administrative burdens at a later stage, without this having further repercussions on the professionals involved. The first payments are expected by Easter and the relative payments starting from 20 April.
The agreement reached concerns the cost of managing the practices, estimated by INPS at 65 euros. The free accumulation of social security benefits was established by the 2017 Budget Law (article 1, paragraph 195, law 232 of 11 December 2016) and is awaiting concrete implementation. In recent days we have reached the clash on the issue of cost sharing among the entities concerned. but now, after the storm, the calm has returned.
“To pay pensions immediately is a wise choice that we have supported for some time – says the president of Adepp Alberto Oliveti -. First, the legitimate needs of those entitled are satisfied and then, by evaluating together the progress of the practices, it is determined what is due, and to whom, in compliance with the laws in force, in relation to management costs”.
