CsC: industrial production +0,9% in September

This is the fourth consecutive improvement for Italian industrial production (+2,1% cumulative since the third quarter of 2014) – The last quarter of this year starts with an increase of +0,4%.

Production resumes running at the end of the summer. The Study Center Confindustria in fact, it notes an increase in industrial production of 0,9% in September over August, when it had estimated a variation of -0,5% over July.

In the third quarter of 2015, the CSC instead calculates an increase in production of 0,7% over the second, when there was an increase of 0,5% over the previous one. It's about the fourth consecutive improvement (+2,1% cumulative since the third quarter of 2014). The last quarter of this year starts with a growth of +0,4%.

The production, net of the different number of working days, is advanced in September by 3,2% compared to the same month last year; in August there was an increase of 0,8% on August 2014. Order volumes in September recorded a growth of 1,6% on August and 4,3% on September 2014. In August: +1,8, 4,7% over July and +XNUMX% over twelve months.

The investigation into confidence among manufacturing companies, it shows greater optimism in September and heralds a positive trend in activity also in the coming months: the index rose by 1,5 points (after -0,9 in August), to 106,2, the maximum for more than seven years; assessments and expectations on production levels and domestic and foreign orders also improved compared to last month.
