In fourth quarter, on the other hand, the Italian economy had disappointed expectations, recording a trend in GDP (+0,1% in the economic situation) and production (-0,2%) lower than analysts' forecasts.

Furthermore, underlines the Confindustria Study Center, the positive impact of the labor market will be felt by families who will increase spending. "In 2016, the spending of Italian households that from retail sales seems to have closed 2015 badly (-0,4% in volume in the fourth quarter) will be supported by the improvements underway in the labor market". According to CSC estimates, employment, supported by the "Poletti decree, decontribution and the Jobs Act" in 2015 improved "in size and composition" and "triggers a virtuous circle, strengthening both family budgets and confidence and the propensity to spend ”.
