Collapse of oil but modest reductions for gasoline: decreases expected over the weekend

For now, the plunge in oil has not led to an equal reduction in the price of fuels in Italy also due to the strengthening of the dollar - Barring sudden rebounds, however, it should be a weekend of further decreases - At the moment, the cuts could be at least 2 cents on petrol and 1 on diesel.

Collapse of oil but modest reductions for gasoline: decreases expected over the weekend

Despite the collapse in oil prices, only timid reductions have been recorded on the national fuel network for now, following those of recent days. A slowness perhaps also due to the strengthening of the dollar against the euro which attenuates the advantage for those who import. The monitoring of Quotidiano Energia records it. In fact, IP moves with a drop of 0,5 euro cents/litre on petrol and 1 on diesel and Shell with -1 cent on diesel only. Barring sudden significant rebounds, however, it should be a weekend of further decreases. At the moment, the cuts could be at least 2 cents on petrol and 1 on diesel. Slightly reduced prices at the end of the price lists, with the no logos constantly decreasing and "pulling" the discounts of the competitors.

In detail, the national averages "served" by petrol and diesel now reach, respectively, 1,783 and 1,696 euro/litre (LPG at 0,714). The "peaks" in some areas are up to 1,836 euros/litre for green, diesel up to 1,744 and LPG up to 0,752. The situation at country level (always in "served" mode), according to what results from a sample of service stations that represents the national situation for the QE Price Check-Up Service, sees the average price of petrol which today ranges from 1,774 euro/litre from Eni at 1,783 IP (no-logo at 1,640). For diesel, the price went from Esso's 1,679 euro/litre to Tamoil's 1,696 (no-logo at 1,554). Lastly, LPG is between 0,699 euro/litre of Esso and 0,714 of IP (no-logo at 0,698).
