Crisis, Passera: "Italy has already done everything necessary, but the road to growth is long"

"Italy has already done what was necessary to save itself, from a financial point of view, in recent months". This is the conviction expressed by the Minister for Economic Development, Corrado Passera, on the sidelines of a meeting at the Milan Polytechnic. According to Passera, the "great discipline we have given ourselves in terms of public finances puts us among the countries that can best face the financial whirlwind in which Europe is today".

However, the minister warns that the road to growth is still long: “It is clear that the other part of the recovery is what must pass through growth, and here much remains to be done. Even if the Government intervened on this right from the beginning”. And Flounder refers to "ready" decree which contains "very relevant rules to help businesses create jobs. Growth, together with budgetary discipline, are the two levers with which Italy has reconquered itself and further credibility must be regained in order to play the role of growth 'push' in Europe”.
