Crisis, an "anti-suicide" fund is on the way

Crisis, an "anti-suicide" fund is on the way

A Solidarity Fund in favor of small entrepreneurs and artisans who do not have access to credit. The dramatic situation of many small companies in difficulty, which has already resulted in 23 suicides since the beginning of the year, lands in Parliament.

The PDL presented a bill to the Chamber (first signatory was the group leader Fabrizio Cicchitto) for the establishment of a solidarity fund, with a budget of 70 million for 2012, which grants a one-off contribution of up to 5.000 euros to small entrepreneurs or professionals who are denied a loan by the banks or whose credit line is revoked. The Fund is limited to 2012 only, in the hope that the situation will evolve for the better in the future, and the contribution is non-refundable. Coverage is guaranteed by transfers of balance sheet items.

The initiative is to be linked – they point out to the PDL group – with a motion for the attention of the House which intends to commit the government to concrete actions against the credit crunch and to encourage regular payments by public administrations.

Still in the Chamber, taking his cue from the story of the Bologna craftsman who committed suicide due to the serious financial crisis and relations with the tax authorities, the Pdl deputy Fabio Garagnani, with a question to Mario Monti urges action on the Revenue Agency, suggesting that the possibility of delays in the payment of certain debts, of avoiding methods of "police state" in the assessment of tax evasion, of compulsorily involving trade associations in the investigation of certain practices.
