"It's a pity, right now that everyone should work together, to avoid catastrophic risks for the financial markets" - These are the words of the US Treasury secretary after speaking, in a completely unusual way, at the Eurogroup summit which it is held this morning.
"It is a pity to note that there is a conflict between Governments and the European Central Bank" on the solutions to be found to the debt crisis. The Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, Timothy Geithner, does not mince words, speaking on the sidelines of theEurogroup which preceded the Ecofin summit in Wroclaw, Poland.
A conflict that comes at the very moment in which – according to Geitner – “everyone should work together, to avoid catastrophic risks for the financial markets”.
