The purchase of cryptocurrencies is more common in Spain than in Italy and France, but the French allocate larger sums, up to 100 thousand euros, to investments in virtual currencies. It is one of the elements that emerges from the survey carried out by the OAM on a sample of citizens of Spain and France whose results were compared with those emerging from the analysis relating to Italians published at the end of 2022.

This is what emerges from asurvey conducted by the OAM, the Agents and Mediators Body, on a sample of citizens of Spain and France whose results were compared with those emerging from theanalysis relating to Italians. The two nations are chosen as to the extremes for the use of cryptocurrencies: in Spain the highest level while in France the lowest. The survey involved a sample of 1.450 subjects.

In Spain, around 40% of the Spanish sample who had heard of virtual currencies said they had bought digital currencies in the past. The Italian and French samples follow, with past investment percentages of 30% and 27% respectively. The Spaniards aim for high returns and French and Italians diversify the portfolio. In particular, 69% of the Spaniards interviewed declared having invested a maximum of 10.000 euros, while in the French sample 15% invested between 25.000 and 40.000 euros, and 4% exceeded 100.000 euros. Most of the Italian sample (59%) invested between 0 and 10.000 euros in cryptocurrencies.

Cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin and Ethereum are the favorites
