Private credit: ECB, zero growth in April

In the month of April la annual change has returned to zero after the 0,1% which had been recorded in March and which had represented the first timid positive sign after three years.

In the monthly report on monetary aggregates released by the same ECB, the weakness is also confirmed by the data excluding the effects of sales and securitisations: in this case, loans to individuals remained unchanged at 0,8%.

The ECB has reported that the disbursements of mortgages to families for home purchases rose by 0,1% in April compared to the same month of 2014 (+0,2% in March), while thedisbursement of credit to businesses it fell by 0,4% in April (-0,6% in March).
