Giampiero Maioli, head of Credit Agricole's Italian activities, anticipated the Group's future moves on the sidelines of the "Italian Banking Conference 2017" organized by the Luiss University of Rome: "a plan of one billion investments for Italy in the coming three years".

In fact, Italy is, in terms of importance, the second country of reference for Credit Agricole, which has 52 million customers in 50 different countries.

The total amount of investments is part of the industrial plan which has a time horizon of 2020, and includes both retail investments and other activities.

In the meantime, the Group continues to be committed to theacquisition of the three Banks of Cesena, Rimini and San Miniato, despite the deadline for the exclusive negotiation expiring on 15 September.
