The French bank Crédit Agricole today announced a record loss: 3,8 billion euros of losses in the fourth quarter of 2012 alone, due to the loss of value of the acquisitions made by the transalpine credit institution before the 2008 crisis.
The balance sheet for the calendar year is therefore preparing to be dramatic, given that already in the first 9 months Crédit Agricole had recorded a negative result of 2,48 billion euros: it is therefore the most important loss in its history.
