Giampiero Maioli new president

Giampiero Pigs takes over Aribert Fassati, who has served as chairman for over 15 years, marking a phase of consolidation for the group in Italy. His appointment underlines the desire to continue on the path of continuity and to further strengthen the position of Crédit Agricole Italia in the national banking landscape, with particular attention to sustainable growth and listening to the needs of the territory.

Maioli boasts consolidated experience within the group, having held roles of great responsibility, including that of CEO and General Manager since 2012. His career has been characterized by important operations, such as the integration of Credito Valtellinese and the merger with Ca Friuladria, which led to the creation of the “Banca Unica” under the Crédit Agricole Italia brand.

Hugues Brasseur new CEO and DG

Next to Maioli, Hugues Brasseur will assume the role of CEO and General Manager. With a career that began in 2000 within the Crédit Agricole group, Brasseur has held positions of increasing responsibility, including that of Co-General Manager and then Deputy General Manager of Crédit Agricole Italia from 2012 to 2016.

Brasseur also served as General Manager of the Caisse Régionale de l'Anjou et du Maine, an experience that further enriches his international vision. With his appointment, the group intends to continue strengthening its leadership in Italy, addressing the challenges of the market with a new strategic vision.
