Covid19, Eurizon: 100 thousand euros to 2 hospitals in Lombardy

Eurizon has donated a total of 100 thousand euros to the Fatebenefratelli Sacco hospitals in Milan and Pope John XXII in Bergamo. The contribution "will serve to support two of the many structures most exposed to the management of patients affected by Covid-19", reads a note from the asset management company of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group.

Eurizon was the first asset management company to launch a system of ethical funds in Italy in 1996. Since then, every year it has donated part of the management fees received from the 3 ethical funds to humanitarian initiatives and projects. The donation to the two Lombard hospitals is an advance of that annual contribution.

"We wanted to intervene quickly - explains Saverio Perissinotto, CEO of Eurizon - anticipating the allocation of the contribution foreseen for 2020, with the aim of giving immediate support for the purchase of necessary equipment in two of the most exposed areas to this pandemic. Our country is demonstrating great strength and cohesion in the face of this emergency, but in a globalized context such as the current one, coordinated and timely action is more than ever necessary".
