Veneto, Marche and the Province of Trento will pass into the orange zone at the end of the restrictions imposed for Easter. So they become the Regions that will remain in red, while the orange zones rise to 11.
COLORS
There are eight regions that also have red data this week: Calabria, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lombardy, Piedmont, Puglia, Tuscany, Valle d'Aosta. The new ordinance signed today by the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza instead marks the passage in orange of Marche, Veneto and the Autonomous Province of Trento. Abruzzo, Basilicata, Lazio, Liguria, Molise, Sicily, Sardinia, Umbria and the Autonomous Province of Bolzano are already in orange. The new rules will go into effect on Tuesday 6 April.
We remind you that, according to the provisions of the new decree which will enter into force on April 7, no Region will be able to return to yellow until at least May.
THE RT INDEX
The value of the national RT falls to 0,98 below the alarm threshold of 1, which was at 1,08 last week. The incidence stands at 232 cases per 100 inhabitants against 240 last week.
THE VACCINES
1,3 million AstraZeneca vaccines arrived in Pratica di Mare this morning. Distribution to the Regions will start at 13.30. 200 thousand doses will be destined for Lazio after the alarm raised yesterday by councilor D'Amato: "If the 24 thousand expected AstraZeneca vaccines do not arrive in the next 122 hours, we will be forced to suspend vaccinations against our will," said D0amato.
"As demonstrated, the supply of vaccines continues at full capacity: we are working flat-out - Defence, Civil Protection, regional ASL - to get to vaccinate 500.000 people a day", said Giorgio Mulè, Undersecretary of Defence, this morning, speaking at the '24 Mattino' broadcast by Radio24.
The doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine that arrived today conclude the deliveries planned for the first quarter of 2021 and will be distributed throughout the country in these hours with carriers from the Italian Post and Defense.
LOMBARDY: BOOKINGS STARTING
After the turbulence of the last few weeks, the new booking system of the Lombardy Region managed by Poste Italiano started up this morning. It begins, exclusively, with the Lombards between 75 and 79 years old. Subsequently, the appointments for the other age groups will be unlocked. Reservations for the anti-covid vaccine reserved for extremely vulnerable categories, disabled and caregivers, will instead start from next April 9th.
