Covid Italy, infections and hospitalizations are on the rise. He risks Friuli

The trend of the pandemic linked to the coronavirus in Italy worsens. At least for the moment there doesn't seem to be any color changes, but the increasing trend of cases could change the fate of some regions. To risk more the Friuli Venezia Giulia, especially after the no vax demonstrations.

The fourth wave is near. The transmissibility index rises Rt at 1,21 (range 1,08 - 1,31), against 1,15 of 7 days ago and stably above the epidemic threshold, while the weekly incidence jumps to 78 cases per hundred thousand, against 53 last week. This is highlighted by the monitoring of the Control Room, whose data are communicated by the Higher Institute of Health.

The intensive care and medical area employment rate is also growing due to the new Covid wave. The ICU occupancy rate is 4,4% (according to the daily Ministry of Health survey on 11 November) against 4% (daily survey by the Ministry of Health of the previous week). The employment rate in medical areas nationwide rises to 6,1% versus 5,3% as of Nov. 28. However, the values remain below the alert threshold set at 10% and 15%.

Despite all the growing parameters, Italy remains white, but there are those who risk the yellow zone in the coming weeks. In particular, those who risk the most are Friuli-Venezia Giulia, which due to the latest protests is considered to be at high risk: incidence at 233 cases per hundred thousand against 139,6 last week, Rt at 1,7, and intensive care already above the threshold at 10,9%: while ordinary hospitalizations are at 9,9%.

But Friuli is not the only one, there Province of Bolzano recorded an incidence of 313,3 cases per hundred thousand, the Veneto at 115,3, to follow Lazio e Marche which are close to 90 cases per hundred thousand.

As far as hospitalizations are concerned, the Marches are worrying, where intensive care is right on the threshold of 10%, but medical areas are occupied at 7,2%, while the Province of Bolzano is approaching the threshold for ordinary hospitalizations with 13,6 6,3% of places occupied, but with intensive care at XNUMX%.
