Covid, financial education courses from Ubi Banca

The commitment of Ubi Banca also continues online, in collaboration with FEduF (Foundation for Financial Education and Savings, created by ABI), in the field of financial education: indeed the Covid-19 emergency has made it necessary and necessary to enrich the initiatives that can be used and shared online: "A commitment to support communities in which the institute operates, with innovative teaching tools and languages useful for reaching and involving young people and adults”, explains the bank in a note.

A first initiative concerns the organization of Digital Live Talk reserved for bank customers. Live shows in live streaming that allow, thanks to the ability of Taxi 1729's science communicators, to lightly face in-depth reflections on the importance of adequate financial preparation and a rational approach to economic choices.

Just today, Wednesday 29 April, there is the first appointment dedicated to over 650 customers, as well as bank employees, entitled "Resilience and change management", a highly topical issue in a moment full of uncertainties such as the time we are living. The objective of the Live Shows is in fact to accompany the participants in the discovery of the conscious and unconscious mechanisms that influence our choices, especially in times of crisis, thus providing useful support, in the light of the principles of behavioral finance, to avoid making decisions irrational or wrong.

New Live Shows, expected in the coming weeks, will lead, for example, to the discovery of emotions or certain automatisms which, unbeknownst to us, strongly condition our behavior in the economic field, helping us to identify and manage them.

It also continues, with new interactive modes that contribute to increasing the digitization of the Italian schoola, the financial education program historically dedicated by UBI Banca to young school students, which during the 2018-2019 school year saw the involvement of over 17.000 young people throughout Italy.

Indeed, Ubi Banca participates in the diffusion of FEduF's online educational programs for schools, managed with virtual classes thanks to the use of platforms such as Zoom, Teams and Google Meet. In particular, a pilot project is underway in secondary schools in the Marche and Abruzzo regions: over 350 pupils from the Marche and Abruzzo regions are participating in the online teaching programs "What an enterprise, kids!" and "Teens" which, as part of a training course on responsible citizenship, provide for the development of an entrepreneurial project. The training activities have in fact, among other things, the objective of providing them with the tools for transforming an idea into a real business plan, which allows them to participate in a contest. The best projects will be awarded in the autumn.

The common objective of the various initiatives promoted by Ubi Banca and FEduF, in the complex conditions imposed by the Covid-19 emergency, is precisely to continue the awareness process of financial education in which the Lombard bank has been involved for some time, involving an ever wider public, with a renewed, dynamic and captivating language, and bringing the new online information formats directly into citizens' homes.
