Covid, what changes from May XNUMXst? Goodbye to the Green pass but not to the masks indoors

Although Italy is leaving behind many of the restrictions that have accompanied us in the last two years, the virus continues to circulate, as demonstrated by the millions of Chinese in lockdown for weeks and the Italians still positive, today around 1,2 million. From May XNUMX, however, we will say goodbye to many restrictions, such as the Green passes that it will no longer be necessary to show it to access most social activities. Instead, the rebound in infections and deaths has fueled the debate on whether to impose the use of indoor masks even beyond the deadline set by the government when it approved the road map of reopenings. While awaiting a decision from the Ministry of Health, here's what has changed since May XNUMX for the anti-Covid measures.

Covid, what changes from May XNUMXst: the Green pass era ends

The green certificate will no longer be required on May 31st. Therefore, the Super Green pass (which can only be obtained with vaccination or recovery) will no longer be needed to attend indoor gyms and swimming pools, participate in parties and ceremonies, conferences and congresses, enter discos and game rooms, go to the cinema and theater. The only exceptions are visits to hospitals and facilities for the elderly, where it will be necessary to show the strengthened one until December 30st. The obligation of the basic Green pass also lapses, which until XNUMX April is mandatory for accessing the workplace, consuming in indoor bars and restaurants, on planes, trains, ferries and intra-regional buses, participating in public competitions, accessing canteens, go to the stadium and attend open-air plays and concerts.

Masks indoors, what changes from May XNUMXst?

It's the only knot that will be untied in the next few days. At the moment the indoor obligation applies until April 30 everywhere, from work to schools, from shops to public offices. Also until April 30 there is the obligation of Ffp2 on means of transport, in theatres, cinemas, concert halls, for sporting events and competitions. The hypothesis is to leave the obligation only in some environments, such as means of transport.

Vaccines: mandatory until June 15 for over 50s

The vaccination obligation will remain in force until June 15 for teachers and school staff, law enforcement and in general all citizens over 50 years old. For these categories, the possibility of returning to work with the basic Green pass (buffer) has been foreseen since 25 March, the obligation of which ceases in every home at the end of April. The vaccine will continue to be mandatory until December 31 only for doctors, health personnel and nursing homes.

Simplified smart working until June 30th

Until 30 June, in the private sector, the use of the simplified smart working communication procedure is possible, i.e. without the individual agreement between employer and employee. The measures relating to the health surveillance of workers most exposed to the risk of contagion have also been extended until 30 June.
