From June 7 in the white area, from June 15 in the yellow area. Weddings are starting up again in Italy after the months of stop imposed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But with what rules? With the last one dpcm in force since 18 May, the Government has imposed limitations aimed at safeguarding the safety of spouses and guests for receptions following civil or religious functions. The rules, among other things, also apply to communions, confirmations, baptisms and so on and must be respected regardless of the area in which you are (white or yellow). Let's see them one by one.

WEDDINGS COVID 2021: THE GREEN PASS

Anyone who wants to attend a wedding will need to have a green pass. For those who have already received the first dose of the vaccine, the certificate will be available from the 15th day following the inoculation, while those who have already received both doses will receive the certificate immediately. Guests who have had Covid and have recovered can request the green pass at the hospital or, alternatively, from the doctor in charge. The third way to obtain the certificate is instead to take a swab (antigenic, molecular or salivary) in the 48 hours preceding the event. Children under 2 are excluded from the obligation. 

WEDDINGS COVID 2021: THE GUESTS

This rule will make the newlyweds and organizers breathe a sigh of relief. The Government has established a very high maximum number of guests: a thousand people. However, it will be necessary to take into consideration the space (internal or external) available): two meters for each guest. Put simply: the larger the space available for the reception, the more guests there may be. 

Pay attention to a fundamental rule: the data of the participants must be kept for the 14 days following the wedding. 

NO COVID MANAGER NEEDED

Despite the initial announcements, it will not be mandatory to hire a Covid Manager for every 50 guests, nor to identify this figure among the club's employees. 

TEMPERATURE

Instead, it will be mandatory to measure the body temperature of the envoys at the entrance. Anyone with a temperature above 37,5 °C cannot enter.

WEDDINGS COVID 2021: THE RULES ON MASKS

Mandatory mask for everyone both inside (when spouses or sent are not sitting at the table) and outside if it is not possible to respect the meter distance. Mandatory mask on mouth and nose also for staff. Also pay attention to the type: surgical or superior masks will be needed. 

INDOOR OR OUTDOOR RULES

Given the arrival of the beautiful season, the protocol recommends celebrating outdoors. However, it is not mandatory. In case of indoor receptions and ceremonies, air exchange must be guaranteed. And therefore: doors, windows and windows open. 

WEDDINGS COVID 2021: THE TABLES

The tables must be arranged in such a way as to "ensure the maintenance of at least 1 meter of separation between guests at different tables in indoor environments and at least 1 meter of separation in open environments".

THE RULES FOR THE BUFFET

Buffets are allowed only if the food will be served by the staff. Guests will not be able to touch the dishes displayed on the tables and will have to keep their distance. While waiting for your turn it is mandatory to wear a mask. If, on the other hand, you opt for self-service, the dishes must be displayed in closed and single-serving packages. 

RULES FOR TABLE SERVICE

Rules also for table service: the adoption of a single menu for the tableau marriage and/or individual menus for the exclusive use of the guest is recommended. Sauces, bread, crackers, breadsticks can be served to participants in single portions using tongs. The use of placeholders is recommended to ensure that guests always sit in the same place. 

MUSIC AND DANCE

The band hired for the reception must maintain a distance of 3 meters from the audience, unless there is a plexiglas barrier in front of the microphone. The obligation to wear a mask is foreseen only when the members of the group move to the internal common areas. Shows and/or artistic exhibitions of any kind are allowed as long as the interpersonal distance of one meter can always be respected.

Green light for dancing outside, while if the ballroom is indoors, a surface area of ​​2 square meters must be guaranteed for each guest, enhancing the exchange of air. 

THE PARTY FAVORS

The favors must be personally delivered to each correspondent after having sanitized their hands. It is forbidden to take the wedding favor from a common table at the exit of the room.
