Covid-19: Ubi Banca has already disbursed 500 million

Of the 44.000 guarantees confirmed by Medio Credito Centrale to Ubi Banca, over 25.000 have already been disbursed. The contribution that the Lombard bank is making to support businesses and the restart of the country's economy is therefore proceeding at a rapid pace: in fact, according to a press release, Medio Credito Centrale confirmed to UBI 25% of the total confirmed guarantees, as part of the guaranteed credits of up to 25.000 euros envisaged by the Liquidity Decree.

To date, the bank headed by Victor Massiah has so exceeded the threshold of 500 million euros provided to its customers. The figure represents additional finance already available in checking accounts. Disbursements proceed at a rate of approximately 50 million euro per day, satisfying the high number of requests received in just a few days, thanks to the efficient process for obtaining authorizations from Medio Credito Centrale.

Ubi Banca also has granted moratoriums to over 135.000 individuals and businesses, suspending installments due in the coming months for over 1,5 billion euros. "UBI's ability to quickly provide liquidity to the production system represents a first and important element of the "Relaunch Italy" project, the plan for a total value of up to 10 billion euros launched on 1 April by the Group to support businesses, households and third parties sector in recent months”, explains the note.
