Covid-19 and businesses: Vetrya launches contact tracing apps

A wearable device that warns workers when they are too close. Vetrya took care of it and, on the eve of phase 2, launches Pj20Tracer, a wearable device that will allow you to trace contacts within the corporate context. The solution will also be available via an app to be installed on your smartphone.

Via wearable Bluetooth device or app Pj20Tracer monitors the distance between people in real time who work within the same corporate context.

How does it work? “When two or more Pj20 Tracer Bluetooth devices and/or the Pj20 Tracer App approach within a certain distance (for example 1 meter) the person will be warned by a sound, a vibration or a light signal. The memory of the device and/or of the smartphone application record the event and, if necessary, the PJ20 platform shows the contact correlation map” explains Vetrya in a note.

To use Pj20 tracer will not need any network infrastructure and will also guaranteed the privacy of those who use it thanks to a variable digital identifier. "No tracing of the absolute positions of each individual person within the company will be carried out, but the relative positions with respect to other collaborators", reassures Vetrya.

“As I have already had the opportunity to say in recent days, we have certainly not wasted time and the experience gained in this period thanks to the development of the Pj19 public tracking platform has put us in a position to be ready with a solution to support our customers and the market” – he declared Luca Tomassini, president and CEO of the Vetrya Group.
