Covid-19, from Generali policies for employees

Generali Italia has activated a great plan specific health coverage for Covid – 19 to protect the employees of Italian companies, including its own and also all the personnel of its distribution networks throughout the country. The offer is called GeneraSalute and, in addition to the provisions of the Social Security Institutes, it supports companies and their employees in managing the contagion emergency with two main tools: the indemnity for both hospitalization and convalescence; personal assistance services to support them in recovering their health and in family management (from the doctor at home to the delivery of groceries at home).

As for coronavirus hospitalizations, if prolonged, the allowance is from 100 euros per day, while for convalescence following hospitalization in intensive care the contribution is 3.000 euros. The package of personal services are as follows:

  • sending the doctor home
  • ambulance transport
  • return from the nursing home
  • sending of family collaborator, baby sitter at home
  • home delivery of groceries

The new coverages are part of the broader plan of initiatives connected with the slogan #TogetherWeGenerateTrust. “In light of the situation relating to the spread of Covid-19 – he explained Marco Sesana, Country Manager & CEO of Generali Italia and Global Business Lines – we have prepared new insurance solutions capable of supporting Italian companies and their employees. Many companies have joined this program and over 500 employees can already benefit from these covers. We at Generali have decided to extend them to all personnel in our distribution networks. Implementing our skills and providing concrete and immediate solutions is for us to be a life partner: today this means acting because Together We Generate Trust".
