After debacle on the car market, the Italian industry today registers another worrying collapse. There Production in the construction sector in July fell 14,2% year on year (data corrected for calendar effects). The drop compared to June was instead 2,2% (seasonally adjusted data), while on average for the first seven months of the year the sector recorded a fall of 13,9% in trend terms.
Finally, in the May-July period, the decrease was 1,4% compared to the previous quarter. The indices were released on Wednesday morning by Istat.
