Construction is still bad: the seasonally adjusted index of production calculated by Istat drops by 2% in May compared to April and by 15,2% on an annual basis.
The construction crisis shows no signs of slowing down. In May, the seasonally adjusted index of production for the sector of construction it was down 2% from April and down 15,2% year over year. The data was released today by Istat.
On average for the March-May quarter, the index recorded a decrease of 5,3% compared to the previous three months.
In the first five months of the year, however, construction production fell by 12,5% compared to the same period in 2012.
