Costamagna is preparing the launch of its own merchant bank

A few weeks after farewell to the presidency of Cassa depositi e prestiti (Cdp), Claudio Costamagna is preparing to return to his old profession: that of banker who practiced for twenty years at Goldman Sachs. But with something new: this time the banker will do it as an independent.

Costamagna, as reported by the financial newspaper Mf, is planning to launch a merchant bank on the model of Gianni Tamburi's Tip, which first set up a boutique of medium-sized Made in Italy and family capitalism companies and then went public on Bag.

After having raised the necessary capital, the former president of the CDP will start the activity that suits him most and which he carried out successfully throughout Europe when he was in charge of investment banking at Goldman Sachs: merger and acquisition.

To this end, Costamagna has already set up the vehicle that will support its new financial experience: it is the newco CC&Partners
