Champions League: Napoli and Atalanta ok, Roma stops

Bergamaschi and Neapolitans win not without suffering against the less quoted Udinese and Crotone and hook the Champions positions, net of the various matches to recover. Rome overtaken by Lazio

Champions League: Napoli and Atalanta ok, Roma stops

The Easter round is favorable to Naples and Atalanta, with a view to the Champions League race. The two teams win respectively against Crotone and Udinese and clearly shorten on Milan, stopped 1-1 at home by Sampdoria. Before the Juventus match, Atalanta are therefore third, two points behind the second place of the Rossoneri, while Napoli is fourth at 4 points from Milan, but with one game less that will be made up against Juventus, in Turin, next Wednesday. Rome and Lazio, on the other hand, remain delayed: the Giallorossi are stopped at 2-2 away in Sassuolo and are thus overtaken by the biancocelesti cousins, authors of a mediocre performance at home against Spezia, but enough to win and climb to sixth place at 4 points from Naples. Roma, which for a long time during the championship was between fourth and fifth place, are now even seventh, 1 point behind Lazio and therefore 5 from fourth place Napoli (who have one game less, while Juve as we write he has 4 points more than Fonseca's men, with 2 games left).

To be precise, Napoli-Crotone ended 4-3, Atalanta-Udinese 3-2, Lazio-Spezia 2-1. Now the standings see Inter (who have to play against Bologna, as we write) firmly in command with 65 points, Milan 60 and then all the others already mentioned. For Milan, Atalanta and Roma there are 9 remaining matches to play, for the others in the running for the Scudetto or European places 10 or 11. On Wednesday Juve-Napoli and Inter-Sassuolo will recover, then the next round sees Parma-Milan, Inter- Cagliari, Verona-Lazio, Juventus-Genoa, Fiorentina-Atalanta, Sampdoria-Naples and Rome-Bologna.
