Corruption, Severino: "We have always asked for proposals for improvement, not for suppression"

The Minister of Justice, Paola Severino, wasted no time and promptly replied to reporters regarding the anti-corruption bill: "We have always asked for proposals for improvements and additives, not for subtraction and much less for suppression".

The Minister also specified that he had not yet read all the amendments: "I believe there may be some ameliorative ones as well as possibly suppressive ones" and added at the press conference in via Arenula: "The logic is that we have built a pyramid in which bricks can be moved or enriched with some element, but the foundations cannot be removed.

Just like Enrico Letta of the Pd yesterday reiterated the importance of voting for this decree immediately, so does Severino: it is urgent to approve the provision "by the end of this legislature".
