Coronavirus: restaurants, the digital menu arrives

My Contactless Menù is a solution offered by the Italian startup Healthy Food: you can book, order and pay directly from your smartphone, avoiding contacts, files and wasted time.

Catering must reinvent itself in the time of the coronavirus. Not only home delivery, but also ghost kitchens and, when it will be possible to reopen, reorganization of spaces and tables. Once again, however, technology can help: the Italian company HealthyFood for example it launched the app My Contactless Menu, a real package of services for the digitization of catering, to be used within the same establishment, even if only to order and pay. The application offers to help the hotel world comply with the new safety regulations: restricted entrances, distances, sanitation and digitization of everything, menu included. In fact, within My Contactless Menù there is the possibility of activating the Order & Pay service: you order and pay directly via smartphone.

"Restart your business: digitize your menu with us and put public safety first", reads the slogan of the MyCIA website, where it is possible to join. So goodbye to the old paper menu, which should never be avoided these days, to make room for the first digital menu 4.0, which translates instantly into 60 languages and can be viewed by simply scanning a QR Code via smartphone placed on the table by the restaurateur . The solution, in addition to being necessary, is also economical and ecological: the menu can be updated quickly and without wasting paper, and the consumer can be provided with additional information compared to the traditional format. For example, with the My Contactless Menu app it is possible automatically calculate the nutritional values of each dish.

Among the additional services, My Contactless Menu it also allows booking online of your table directly from the app, with a double advantage: for restaurateurs, to be able to organize entrances in a staggered way without resorting to an ad hoc management system (perhaps they will miss some jobs, but to the advantage of safety and efficiency) , and for customers the guarantee of a certain and confirmed appointment, reducing waiting times in queues, since the queue is also a gathering to be avoided absolutely. The novelty has already garnered applause from the restaurant world, starting with the starred chef Claudio Sadler: "The challenges that await us are enormous, but the desire to guarantee the safety of our guests also through technological solutions that allow us to continue to excite them in our premises it is even stronger. Each of us must open up to innovative solutions for a new kitchen".
