Compost as a gift to farms in the Emilia-Romagna area. In the context of the current emergency, Herambiente, a Hera Group company and the leading national operator in the treatment and recovery of waste, wants to make a concrete contribution to local companies, especially agricultural ones.
For more than 10 years, Herambiente has placed customer relations at the center of its activities and, aware of the efforts and sacrifices that this situation entails, has decided to support the agricultural supply chain place by making the compost produced in its plants available free of charge.
The compost that will be given away is the one produced in the six Herambiente plants in Emilia-Romagna, starting from the organic waste coming from the local differentiated collection of citizens. From the 370.000 tons of waste treated every year, 50.000 tons of compost are obtained, through a natural process of decomposition. The recovery of the organic substance in the company's plants also makes it possible to obtain biogas or biomethane. The compost has a quality certification and can be used in the fertilization plans of farms.
Herambiente's six plants are located in the provinces of Bologna (biomethane production plant in Sant'Agata Bolognese), Ferrara (composting plant in Ostellato), Forlì-Cesena (anaerobic digestion and composting plant in Tessello in Cesena), Rimini ( Anaerobic digestion and composting plant in Ca' Baldacci in Rimini) and Ravenna (anaerobic digestion and composting plant in Voltana di Lugo).
While stocks last, and in any case no later than 31 July 2020, in full compliance with current legislation (DPCM 22 March 2020), it will be possible to collect the compost by appointment writing to biofertilizzanti-herambiente@gruppohera.it.
The collection can be done free of charge with own means. In case of need for delivery, it will be possible to request it for a fee.
