On the program for Friday morning "Private Sector for Development: opportunities and commitment of Italian Cooperatives in International Cooperation for Development": speeches by the Director General for Development Cooperation of the Farnesina Giampaolo Cantini and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mario Giro.

On Friday 30 January, the event “Private Sector for Development: opportunities and commitment of Italian Cooperatives in International Cooperation for Development” is held at the Farnesina. The works will be opened by the Director General for Development Cooperation of the Farnesina Giampaolo Cantini and will conclude with a speech by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mario Giro.

The event, conceived by the DGCS, jointly with the Alliance of Italian Cooperatives to start a debate with the new players in International Cooperation (cooperatives and the private sector more generally) will analyze the new possibilities for intervention offered by the reform law of cooperation.

Among others, speeches by the Presidency of the Alliance of Cooperatives Rosario Altieri, Mauro Lusetti and Maurizio Gardini, the Hon. Lia Quartapelle, President of the Development Cooperation Intergroup in the Chamber of Deputies, Marcela Villareal, Director of Partnerships, Advocacy and Capacity Development of FAO, Giovanni Camilleri, Global Coordinator Local Development of UNDP and Sergio Gatti General Director of Federcasse Bcc.
