Bankers, entrepreneurs and scholars consulted on the state of health of Italian banks, large and small, yesterday in Empoli at a conference promoted by Cabel Holding, an independent network of services for banks and businesses, on the theme "The Italian banking industry between prospects for relaunch and need for concreteness”.

Among the keynote speeches scheduled are those of Professor Riccardo Varaldo of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa and that of Franco Ferrarotti, the father of sociology in Italy.

The conference was divided into two round tables. The first on the theme “Will they all be local banks? The territory, new or old frontier of bank-business relations” with the participation of M. Benvenuti of the Bank of Italy, S. Bertini president of Confindustria Firenze, A. Lattanzi, president of the Carilucca Foundation, Riccardo Varaldo and Franco Ferrarotti: the director of FIRSTonline, Franco Locatelli acted as moderator.

The second round table, in the afternoon, saw speeches by M. Comana of the Luiss University, by F. Bosio, director of BCC Cambiano, by V. Fiore, CEO of Auriga spa, by G. Correnti, partner of Nolan & Norton , by G. Apicella Guerra of Pramerica Marketing, by A. Pallini, CEO of Oasi of the ICBPI group. 

The conference was concluded around 17 pm by the CEO of Cabel Holding, Daniele Corsini.
