Bank contract: today is the day of signing

The day of signing of the bank contract has arrived. After many months of conflicts between the Abi and the trade unions of credit employees and after a heart-pounding negotiation that led to the hypothesis of an agreement on renewal on the last day, today the new contract for bankers will officially kick off.

Il new contract for workers in the credit sector it will last until 31 December 2018 and contains an increase of 2014 euros spread over four years compared to the one that expired in December 85. The number of seniority increases remains unchanged, which Abi would have liked to drastically decrease, while the banks obtain a less onerous recalculation of the severance pay than in the past.
One of the main steps forward was that of employment protection. In fact, in the agreement for the contract renewal there is also the creation of a platform which aims to bring together job supply and demand in companies in the sector. A platform which, we are certain, will be very important in the near future given that the world of credit is slowly approaching the season of mergers which will inevitably lead to physiological redundancies.

Once the issue of the national banking contract has been filed away, the unions in the credit sector will immediately plunge into a new issue: that relating to the renewal of the executive contract which expired in December. Abi convened the unions for July 13th. The time to find an agreement is very short.
