This afternoon Fulvio Conti, CEO of Enel, spoke in the context of a hearing in the Senate. In the first place, he noted that the photovoltaic incentives will cost Italian citizens about 140 million euros without however obtaining the adequate positive effects for Italy since these funds are used "to purchase Chinese panels" and benefit " some institution that is funding them.” According to Conti “there is a lot of talk about the need to have a certain renewable source and little is said about how much it costs. It's good to know. All without an adequate technological and employment impact for Italy”.

Enel's CEO then underlined that the regulatory and fiscal uncertainty that characterizes the energy sector has "almost dangerously" exposed the company's stock and was the basis of a loss in value "estimated at 8,4 billion euros ” in three years. "With the Robin Tax - he added - a regulated activity is taxed and a subject is forced not to be able to transfer the cost to investments, thus affecting the income statement of one of the few companies that can invest in the country".
