Conte presents the list of proscriptions to Meloni but acquits Lollo: next time will they stop the Frecciarossa together?

“President Melons, it is a moral question. At home Delmastro, Sgarbi and Santanchè“: thus begins the open letter to the prime minister addressed by the leader of the Five Star Movement, Giuseppe Conte (“Giuseppi” for his friend Donald Trump) hosted by “la Repubblica”. Conte does not tell them and demands a purge of the most controversial figures in the Government. But curiously, as "il Riformista" noted, one name is missing from the proscription list: that of the Minister of Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida, known as Lollo, the "brother-in-law of Italy" being the partner of Arianna Meloni. Why this preferential treatment? Lollo isn't the one who collects one gaffe after another and who asks the train conductor for the Frecciarossa Rome-Naples to stop the convoy to unexpectedly get off at Ciampino? Not exactly the height of institutional correctness, one would say, whatever the reasons given by the minister. But Conte saves him anyway. How to explain this surprising double standards: firing squad for some, certainly difficult to defend even for the Italian lawyer who has accustomed us to the most incredible transformations, and granting of pardon for Lollobrigida? We should ask him but perhaps those gossips who think that, beyond the antics in Parliament, are actually Conte's opposition, very spectacular but far from pressing, are not entirely wrong. And in fact there is no shortage of exchanges of favors between Conte and Meloni, even if yesterday the prime minister, to defend herself from the reluctance to sign the ESM, perfidiously recalled that Conte himself approved it in the dark of darkness.
